Kiss and Tell Cherry Adair 9780345478900 Books

Definitely a good, entertaining read!
It has suspense, danger, death, love, sex, and family.

It could use some editing and a little work on the inconsistencies. They don't take away from the story but are definitely noticeable.

And as someone working in healthcare.... I simply must say that there is no way anyone receives "2 and a half" units of blood unless the person dies or has a reaction to the blood transfusion. Nobody would waste half a unit of blood for no reason. Ok I said it. :-)

Kiss and Tell Cherry Adair 9780345478900 Books Reviews

I've read three Cherry Adair books so far and have not been disappointed once.
This is the story of Jake and Marnie, Jake who is a techno geek and Marnie an artist. I love techno geeks and all their great toys which of course stems from the creativity of the writer. Jake of course is the genius loner, the gruff and somewhat unkempt hero who wants nothing to do with anyone but to be left alone with his work and Marnie the artist who doesn't know what the word no means. It's a cute story that includes bad weather, a flood and baddies all on the top of a mountain.
This is my first book to try from Cherry Adair and I really enjoyed it. Right from the beginning, the sexual chemistry and tension between Jake and Marnie is tangible, hot and to the point, as they banter back and forth.

Jake is the type of hero I love most tall, dark and handsome, gruff, abrasive, even a little rude. It's always this gruff hero-type who turns into a total Teddy bear for the heroine. That is exactly Jake's transformation.

He tries to resist Marnie, who is his total opposite; she's quick to show emotion, whether laughter or desire, easy-going, and exuberant. Jake tries to maintain his hard, heartless demeanor, but Marnie steadily chips away at it.

This tug and pull was sexy and so easy to read. Loved it! Also loved the sweet HEA at the end.
I definitely plan to check out the rest of the series. Great read.
The second book in the T-FLAC series by Cherry Adair is the real deal. The characters pull you in the heroine, Marnie, is sweet, has grit, and a sense of humor, and the hero, Jake, who doesn't think he has a heart, is sexy and has a protective nature. Neither are looking for love, but it finds them anyway. The writing style completes the package. In addition to the romance, the humor and fast paced action will keep you turning the pages. The book is done all too soon. Good thing there is another book in the series. Well done, Cherry, well done!

I always love to read a book that is so well written, I find myself living the scenes as they unfold. Cherry Adair had me running through a snow- packed mountain forest, ducking from bullets as they whizzed by my head. I was right there with the hero and heroine. Excellent writing!

Jake Dolen trusts nobody. Growing up in a home with alcoholic parents, he raised himself and ran off to join the navy at 16. After serving, he found a place for his gifted mind in the T-FLAC firm. Stone cold and always alert to his surroundings, Jake was one of T-FLAC's best terrorist hunters. Highly intelligent, Jake began inventing equipment to make himself and his colleagues safer and more efficient in the field. His inventions have made him a millionaire, but he has no desire to retire from his dangerous work as an agent. T-FLAC also provided him with the first friends he ever had. Two years ago, his three best friends were killed in the line of duty. His closest friend died in his arms while saving Jake's life. Now, someone in the firm is trying to frame Jake as a traitor. When T-FLAC issues Jake a permanent "leave of absence", he takes off to his mountain hideaway to research his own case. His goal is to find out who is framing him, and to stay alive while doing so. Jake's enemies want him dead before he can uncover their identities.

Marnie Wright has lived a privileged life. Growing up in a wealthy home where she was lovingly doted on by her grandma, father, and four older brothers, Marnie has never known loneliness or hunger. After her grandma died, she decided to take a trip to the mountain cottage that her grandma left to the family. Marnie wants to make a change in her life. Her father and brothers have become annoying in their over-protectiveness. It's time to make some decisions for herself and her future. While resting in Grandma's cottage, a huge forest tree crashes through the roof. Luckily, Marnie's dog has made a friend at a nearby cabin. "Duchess" loved Jake at first site. Now when Marnie is in danger, Duchess runs to bring Jake to help her.

The last thing Jake needs is a chatty girl in his home. To protect both himself and her, he keeps his career identity a secret. A raging mountain storm has flooded out the bridges that allow people to leave the mountain. Jake has no choice but to take care of Marnie until it is safe for her to cross. The girl makes him crazy... always cheerful and annoyingly persistent in her efforts to become friends with him. Worst of all, Jake can't resist her. He's cold and he needs no one... not this pretty blond female, nor her fiercely loyal dog. Jake is big and mean... so why aren't they afraid of him like everyone else?

Jake's enemies have found him. At least a dozen men have been dropped on the mountain to hunt and kill him. To Jake's dismay, these men appear to be his own T-FLAC brothers. After 16 years of offering his life at their backs, they have come to take him out. Jake is sure that the one who has been framing him is among these assassins. One by one, Jake will slay his enemies until he gets answers. Most importantly, he must keep Marnie safe. He'll do whatever it takes to guard her from harm. He's the hero... so why does she keep risking her own life to save his? With no family and no friends, Jake can't imagine why Marnie wants to be close to him.

Marnie is determined to break the icy shield around Jake's heart. As hard as he tries to seem mean and surly, his unselfish actions betray him. Jake is a man who will share what little he has with a stranger in need. He'll hold and lovingly sooth a sobbing woman as she breaks down in despair over her grandma's death. He'll even risk himself to save her dog. Duchess loves Jake. Before long, Marnie finds herself sharing the feeling. For the first time in her life, Marnie has made up her mind to pursue her own hopes for her future.
