I really liked this story and the narrator. The book takes you back to the beginning where and how they met. It is just a wonderful sweet heartbreaking listen. It seems a lot of people have sins some may even shock you. The author throws some twists you won’t see coming as she takes you on a heartbreaking story of young love that went wrong.

I loved M. Capehart as the narrator she has a lovely voice that is very smooth and enjoyable. She even had the whinny brat down to a T. There are no background noises just a rich enjoyable listen. It was easy to tell who was talking. Here male and female voices were very enjoyable. You could not tell if any breaks were taken. There were no high or low changes in her voice it was just a very pleasurable listen. For me she bought the story together as I could feel the pain or surprise of each character.

Ms. Cooper gives a wonderful tale of first love, young love that goes all the way back to school. It is a sweet story until one night everything changed. How can one sweet wonderful night go so wrong? Just when you think you have the lay of the land the author changes the road and you are left with your mouth hung open. The love is as real as the pain, we each have choices and sometimes those choices will hurt another.

Riley and Hudson have had a thing since they were young. Hudson always picked on Riley until the day her mother said enough. That day changed everything as they grew up both liking the other but neither knew until one night that they couldn’t change changed everything and they went different ways. I really liked all these characters but Luke I didn’t care too much from him from the start. He did grow on me but he has a few sins of his own. It does seem everyone has sins that they will carry until their dying day. So much hurt and pain you will be twisted as to who you feel for the most. There will be a few places where you will say OH NO. There is sorrow and lots of pain but it does have a HAE. I see this is a series. I am looking forward to seeing how Luke’s story ends.

This was a sweet story about falling in love with your soul mate and reconnecting. Riley has been best friends with Hudson's younger sister, Eden, since they were small kids. Through the years, he watched her grow and become a beautiful girl. He feels guilty because of the feelings he has towards her since he's several years older and because of Riley's relationship with his sister. He doesn't know that Riley feels the same way about him. Hudson was her first kiss and she wants him to be her first lover. What should have been the most most memorable night of their life turns tragic. Can they overlook their guilt and make their relationship work?

I adored Hudson. He was so sweet and gentle with Riley. It was obvious he loved and cared for her. Riley is a little immature in the first half of the book, but her character grows on me towards the end. You can't help but want the two of them together. The secondary characters, Eden and Luke (Hudson's best friend) were okay. I really didn't care for either, especially Luke.

I really didn't thing the underground fight storyline was necessary and helped the book. Channing was crazy and we never find out if he goes to jail. We also don't find out if Luke won the fight or how he did.

But overall, the book was good. I love that it was told from both Hudson's and Riley's POVs. It's a stand alone and has a happy ending.
This was probably my favorite Jaimie books. The entire story line was amazing and so sweet. It would of been a five star if a couple things were cleared up for me. But I am hoping that there will be more and my questions will be answered! I could see more and I want it!! All in all it was one of my favorites and Jaimie surprises me every time she writes a book. Very proud. Could not put it down once I picked it up!

At the start we meet little Riley and little Hudson. Hudson always picked on her and her mom asked if he could look out for her instead of tease her. Riley became best friends with Hudson's sister and they were inseparable. Little did they both know the feelings they had for each other. They both tried to hide them the older they got. And suddenly on one visit to the cottage they could not help their feelings. Little did they know their world would forever be different from that night on out. Things would never be the same and their chance a future may of slipped through their fingers. Will they be able to get that love back, can they both move on and forget. Or will their past demons get in the way of their happiness?
Well you will have to read to find out! But I promise, you will not be disappointed. It was AMAZING and one of Jaimie's best yet. I loved Hudson and loved all the characters! I truly hope for more -)

Fabulous book!! this is about a couple who have known each other since childhood... Hudson use to pick on Riley until Riley's mother approached Hudson and asked him to protect her instead of pick on her... so that is what he did - all her life! She also was Hudson's little sisters bff, so she was at their house all the time and Riley always wanted Hudson's attention and he never failed to give it to her... as they got older, it was harder and harder to resist Riley. the age difference was just 3 or 4 years so he watched her become young adult and how he hated those teenage years, he kept the boys away until he went to college and then he worried all the time..
Hudson was Riley's first kiss, because she wanted him to teach her to kiss... oh dear!!!
when Hudson goes to college he never stops thinking of Riley and Riley always loves Hudson..
they finally admit their love for one another when Riley is set to go off to college, but Hudson has a girlfriend, whom he doesn't want..
and that one night is the best and worst night of all their lives... so much pain, drama, lies, love, and finally truth...
this is a must read... I finished in one day.. was great!!
